Dragon Egg Traders is a trading game about routes and nerve. You travel between towns with a limited hold, buying eggs where they are cheap and selling where they are not, watching a market that moves every day whether or not you were paying attention. The hold is the constraint that shapes everything. Ten slots means every purchase is a decision about what you are not carrying, and a full hold on the wrong day is money standing still. Prices differ enough between locations to make a long run worthwhile, but the longer the run the more chances something goes wrong on it. What goes wrong is usually poachers. An encounter plays out over several rounds, and each one you choose whether to defend the cargo, run for it, or pay them off - with their nerve shown so you can judge whether they will actually press it. Defending risks losing eggs you are carrying; bribing costs gold you were going to spend on stock; escaping costs you time and sometimes both. Gold, net worth and days elapsed are all tracked, and shards accumulate as a longer-term currency. The run ends when the calendar does, and your net worth is the score.

How to play
Choose a destination to travel; each journey advances the calendar. Buy and sell from the market screen - prices change with every day and every location. During a poacher encounter, pick Defend, Escape or Bribe, and watch their nerve to judge how hard they will push.
