Drakonia is a creature-raising game rendered in 3D, set in the Lair of the Scalebound. You begin with an egg and a heat source, and the first job is simply keeping it warm enough - the lair loses heat continuously and you hold to stoke it back up, which is the rhythm the early game is built on. Once it hatches the game opens out. The dragon has to be fed and looked after, and it grows on what you give it and how closely you pay attention. Fighting is deliberately simple and it is not a stat check. Claw, bite and breath beat each other in a ring - each one wins against one of the others and loses to the third - so a battle is a read rather than a grind. You are guessing what the other dragon will throw and betting against it, and the answer is in watching your opponent rather than in anything you can level up beforehand. The lair itself is a 3D space you can rotate and zoom rather than a flat menu, so the dragon is a thing you watch rather than a bar you fill. There is a stable to manage what you have raised, and a lore section that fills in as you go. Progress is saved locally, so a dragon can be raised over several sittings rather than in one. It is a slower game than most on the site and it is meant to be - there is no failure state waiting for you, only a creature that does better when it is attended to.

How to play
Drag to rotate the view, scroll to zoom. Hold the heat control to keep the lair warm. Use the action menu to feed and tend to your dragon. In a fight, pick claw, bite or breath - each beats one of the other two and loses to the third, so read your opponent rather than relying on stats. Progress saves automatically to your browser.
