About this game

Blast Grid is a grid arena bomb game in the classic mould: you drop a charge, you run, it goes off, and the trick is always making sure you are not still standing in the shape it makes. Six arenas - Coolant, Foundry, Biolab, Voidnet, Glacier and Reactor - change the geometry rather than just the colours, and six enemy types want different things from you. Drifters wander, Seekers come for you directly, Sprinters are faster than you expect, Wraiths do not respect walls the way you would like, Sappers go after your position and Wardens are the problem you plan around. Power-ups are the progression. An extra charge lets you carry another bomb, a blast amplifier extends the reach of each one, a velocity boost makes escaping your own explosion realistic, and a remote trigger changes the game entirely by letting you choose the moment rather than waiting out a fuse. It opens with a photosensitivity notice and a genuine alternative: a reduced-flashing mode that dims the flares, stops the camera shake and thins the particles. The game is entirely playable that way, which is the right way to offer it.

How to play

Arrow keys or WASD to move, Space to drop a charge, and get out of its cross before the fuse runs down. With the remote trigger power-up, press E or FIRE to detonate on your terms. Collect power-ups for extra charges, longer blasts and more speed. Reduced-flashing mode is offered at the start.
