About this game

Pocket Grand Prix is a compact arcade kart racer built around one mechanic done properly: the drift. Holding the drift through a corner charges a turbo that fires when you release it, so the fastest lap is not the one with the cleanest line but the one that strings corners together into a chain of boosts. Release too early and you waste the charge; hold too long and you run wide. Learning where each corner lets you commit is the whole of getting quicker. Three circuits give the drift different problems. Palm Bay is a tropical island course with long open sweeps that reward a sustained charge. Volt City is a neon night race with tighter geometry and less room to run wide. Dust Canyon is a desert run where the corners come in sequence and chaining them is the only way to keep pace. Laps are counted with a final-lap warning, and finishing on the podium is tracked separately from simply finishing. There is a respawn if you put it somewhere you should not have.

How to play

Up to accelerate, Down to brake and reverse, Left and Right to steer. Hold SPACE (or Shift) to drift and release for the turbo - the longer the drift, the bigger the boost. R respawns you back on the track. ESC pauses, Enter confirms.
